How We Approach Corporate Core Values Must Change.

It's not because core values don't work or aren't valuable. It's because the standard approach to corporate core values misses one central fact:

No matter how brilliant, fabulous, or inspiring the corporate core values are, people will refer to their core values rather than the corporate core values when things get stressful and push comes to shove.

Not because there is anything wrong with the corporate core values but because we all have more experience with our core values than any corporate core values. It's just habit.

As a result, we don't have enough practice using corporate core values to make decisions and take action daily. And in the fast-paced environment of modern business, anything not used regularly, if not daily, gets left behind.

Unless you want to approach your company like the military and create a core values boot camp to get everyone thinking the same way, implementing your corporate core values won't be as effective as you would like.

So what to do?

Help people clarify and use their personal core values in service of the corporate core values.

  1. Each person at the company identifies three personal core values and how they align with the existing corporate core values.

  2. Those people identify an important goal.

  3. Employees ask themselves, "How can I use my core values to achieve this goal/overcome that challenge?" and create a list of possible options.

  4. They choose one of the options and go it today.

  5. When they are done, they celebrate their efforts and repeat the process until the goal is achieved.

Assuming there is any alignment between the corporate and personal core values, each time employees act using their core values, they move the corporate core values and goals forward.

By helping people, from interns to executives, tap into their core values, you'll help people bring their best selves to work and have a system for achieving goals that energize your staff rather than burning them out.

The benefits of helping people use their core values are clear:

  • People are more grounded in themselves, which improves mental and physical well-being.

  • Confidence and consistency grow as people have more practice using their natural abilities.

  • Employees and leadership have a system for moving forward, so there is more grit and determination.

  • Creativity and innovation increase as people learn to ask, "How can I use my core values in this situation?"

  • Management is simplified as the goal is to help the staff use their core values, which will help everyone solve problems and find solutions faster.

Are you a leader who wants your people to feel grounded, connected, healthy, confident, and productive?

If so, start by clarifying your three core values and seeing how to use the Core Values Flywheel to solve problems and achieve goals. The form takes about five minutes to complete and will show you that the process isn't complicated.

After that, you can schedule a call, and we can discuss creating core values that empower you, your people, and your company.

I look forward to talking with you,

Create Three Meaningful Core Values in under 5 minutes.

Let's be honest - People don't believe in core values. For most, core values are more marketing than meaningful.

I used to think the same way. But everything changed when I figured out how to tap into my core self.

By clarifying and using your core values (personal and corporate), you solve problems and achieve goals faster and with less effort.

I'm on a mission to turn core value statements from ignorable to impactful so people can achieve more with less stress.

Have a great day, and I hope to talk soon.

Create a core statement and learn ways to apply your core values to achieve goals.

You aren't the problem

In the places where you struggle, you simply don't have enough practice being yourself.

To create confidence, compassion, assertiveness, grit or determinations, the secret is being more of yourself in more places. Not trying to be something you aren't because that is exhausting.

The fastest and most efficient way to achieve and maintain a goal is by bringing more of your core self to the situation.

Two Reasons for this:

When you a NOT being your core self, you are being something you are not which is exhausting and frustrating, and leads to isolation and burnout.

When you being your core self, your confidence, creativity, and courage increases so you connect with others to find solutions that work over time.

I help people understand...

Their Unique Strengths

Success isn't about becoming someone else. It's about recognizing and leveraging your unique strengths.

The Power of Alignment

Aligning your actions and beliefs with your core identity can exponentially increase your effectiveness at tackling challenges and achieving your goals.

The Importance of Authenticity

Faking confidence or trying to fit into a mold can lead to burnout. Authenticity is sustainable and far more rewarding.

3 misconceptions about our Core Selves

And how they are holding you back.

I already know (or at least I think I do)

You probably have some sense of who you are at your core but your level of clarity isn't sufficient for your goals. Your core self is like your numbers for your business. The more clarity you have, the more power you have to make positive changes.

I can be myself in some places but it's impossible in other areas. There is nothing I can do about it.

Being your core self takes practice. If you are struggling, you just aren't as good at being your core self in that area. There is nothing wrong with you but you need to practice being your core self.

Core work takes too much work.

This true if you don't have a system to use your core self. The uncertainty and overwhelm associated with asking, "who am I," goes away when you have system to clarify who you are, take action in alignment with who you are, and grow you ability to stay true to yourself in more areas of life.

I've spent the last ten years exploring the question, "who am I at my core and how can I bring more of that to my life?" I created the Core Power Framework so you can learn in minutes and hours what took me months and years.

Tell me if any of this resonates with you...

Lorem ipsum a dolor incididunt, consectetur an adipiscing elit.

You keep asking yourself, "Am I doing this right?" or "Will this work for me?"

It's time to put an end to the uncertainty and boost your confidence in your decisions.

You are confident in some areas of your life, but unsure in others?

Let's work on creating a consistent sense of self-assurance across all facets of your life.

You have a vision for what's possible but you struggle with making it happen.

You have what it takes, and I'm here to help you realize that.

If these situations sound familiar, you're not alone, and most importantly – you don't have to stay stuck. I've developed a unique process that has already helped numerous people build real confidence and overcome their challenges.

You have no idea how confident and clear you can be.

Working with me

Rather than focusing on tips and techniques, we focus on bringing your core self to your life.

We clarify who you are and what you want to accomplish.

Client Reviews

The discussion I had with Joey opened my eyes to the notion of purpose that I never suspected was a necessity to have as a writer. We only talked for an hour but now I have a new focus and start working on a project that I have been struggling with for 6 years. I'm so excited.

Harnessing the Inner Strength: How Your Core Self Can Help You Surmount Failures

June 12, 20232 min read

Failures can be hard to face, especially for ambitious entrepreneurs and business leaders. But it's the inner core, that intimate understanding of oneself, which can truly transform these stumbling blocks into stepping stones for growth and progress. Today, we delve deeper into this fascinating subject.

Embracing Resilience: Understanding and Rising Above Failure

Have you ever wondered how some individuals manage to bounce back from failures stronger than ever? Their secret is resilience, born from a deep understanding of their core self. Resilience isn't about ignoring failure or its emotional toll; it's about accepting the setback, extracting lessons from it, and propelling forward with a renewed resolve.

As the iconic inventor, Thomas Edison once said, "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." Edison's words resonate deeply with those who have unlocked their core self. They understand that each 'failed' attempt brings them one step closer to success, illuminating a path away from what doesn't work towards what will.

Unveiling the Triple Tenet: Clarity, Action, Growth

How does one tap into their core self to effectively navigate failures? The answer lies in three pivotal components: clarity, action, and growth.

  1. Clarity: Achieving clarity involves digging deep, unveiling your genuine passions, strengths, and aspirations. When a setback strikes, this clear understanding of your core self acts as your compass, guiding you back on track and reminding you of your inherent potential.

  2. Action: With clarity as your foundation, you're equipped to take purposeful action. Any failure may trigger self-doubt or limiting beliefs, but these can be overcome. Identify the areas you need to strengthen or work on, and then devise a practical, doable plan to augment your confidence and courage.

  3. Growth: Finally, we focus on growth. This stage is about assessing your progress, taking stock of both your triumphs and your struggles, and refining your strategy for sustained improvement. Each setback, then, is not a dead-end, but a catalyst for growth.

Community Support: Together We Thrive

Overcoming failure is a personal journey, yet having a supportive network can ease the burden significantly. Our vibrant community extends support, shares wisdom, and encourages each other, fostering an environment where everyone grows together.

Recursive Resolution: Addressing Challenges With the Core Self

So what happens if you encounter roadblocks while trying to leverage your core self to overcome failures? We circle back to the principles of clarity, action, and growth. This recursive approach ensures that you tackle your challenges head-on and extract maximum benefit from the process.

Wrapping Up

Failures are not roadblocks but learning opportunities on the entrepreneurial journey. By understanding your core self, you can unlock resilience and navigate failures with grace, turning potential pitfalls into springboards for success.
