Starting a business is tough. You hear that all the time, but what people don’t always talk about is the part where you don’t even know what you’re supposed to be learning.
That blank space is where I started.
When I first set out to build the JC Method app, I didn’t have a blueprint. I didn’t know how to code, design user flows, or even get the product into people’s hands. I just knew I had an idea that mattered—this belief that if people journaled, took aligned action, and celebrated themselves each day, they’d grow in ways they never imagined.
So I did what I always do when I feel lost. I turned to the process.
Every time I hit a wall—and there were many—I opened up my journal. I wrote down what I was struggling with, what I could celebrate, what my current goal was, what was working, and what wasn’t.
That reflection grounded me. It gave me energy to keep going. And it helped me see the next action to take, even if it was just emailing someone for help or testing a single feature.
Over time, those actions built momentum. I didn’t build the app because I knew what to do. I built it because I kept moving, kept stumbling, and then learned exactly what I needed from the place where I was standing.
Six weeks later, the app was working. People were using it. And I had learned a ton—not by consuming course after course, but by staying present, practicing, and taking action from my values.
This process didn’t just help me build an app. It’s helped founders create offers, nurses reclaim their mornings, writers start books, and swamped professionals find their focus again. And it can help you too.
Here’s the method:
Each morning, reflect on:
What can I celebrate about yesterday?
What’s the goal or problem I’m working on?
What is and isn’t working right now?
You don’t need perfect clarity. You need to be honest. This helps you escape the noise and focus on yourself.
Pick one step today that aligns with your values. Maybe it’s reaching out for help. Maybe it’s sketching an idea or saying no to something that doesn’t fit.
You don’t need to build the whole business today. Just make progress that matters.
Take two minutes to record your efforts. What did you try? What did you learn? What surprised you?
That daily reflection becomes your Gold File—a record of your growth, insights, and power. Over time, it becomes the most precise map of who you are and where you’re going.
And if you upload that Gold File to ChatGPT or your favorite AI, you can turn it into content, business plans, emails, or creative ideas rooted in your real experience, not some generic strategy.
The truth is, most people lack clarity at the outset. You don’t need clarity. You need consistency. You need a way to reconnect with yourself, take a step, and learn from it.
This isn’t about learning the “right” thing. It’s about knowing the next thing—from the inside out.
And when you do that every day for six weeks, your confidence grows. Your clarity builds and your energy returns. You start making real progress—not because someone told you what to do, but because you found your way through the fog.
That’s what the JC Method is for.
